Bank of Canton Donates $1,000 to Canton Alliance for Public Education

October 12, 2010 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $1,000 to the Canton Alliance for Public Education (CAPE). This contribution will be used to help sponsor the 5th annual town-wide Spelling Bee on January 21, 2011 at the Canton High School auditorium.

“The Spelling Bee continues to grow in popularity and serves as a key source for raising funds that fuel an array of important education programs throughout Canton Public Schools,” said Cam Reese, Canton Alliance for Public Education President. “Contributions like the one from Bank of Canton are being invested in our classrooms for innovative programs enriching the lives of our students. We appreciate Bank of Canton’s generosity and thank them for their ongoing support.”

CAPE is a non-profit, community-based foundation dedicated to enhancing Canton’s commitment to excellence in public education. As a partner with both the community and the schools, CAPE helps raise money to sponsor grants for projects that will successfully achieve their mission. CAPE is staffed entirely by volunteers who solicit funding for grants from generous individuals, corporations, and foundations.
